MBT Researcher Lucas Kreiss Selected for 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Lucas Kreiss from the Institute of Medical Biotechnology has been selected to attend the 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting this summer. The meeting brings together Nobel laureates and outstanding early-career researchers for a week of scientific exchange, and this year’s edition marks a special milestone: to celebrate its 75th anniversary, the conference takes on an interdisciplinary format, bridging the fields of Physiology/Medicine, Physics, and Chemistry. Following a rigorous international review process, 636 young scientists from 88 countries were chosen to participate to meet around 75 Nobel laureates, who have already confirmed their attendance.

The interdisciplinary focus of this year’s meeting aligns closely with Dr. Kreiss’ research at the MBT, which sits at the interface of engineering, biology, and medicine. At the institute, he works on label-free biophotonics and computational data analysis for biomedical applications. We warmly congratulate him on this outstanding achievement and look forward to the insights and connections he will bring back from Lindau.
